A five-member rock band’s bassist and band leader, I love performing and uplifting the day during school rallies and lunch. I help lead the band by organising popular, trendy songs, keeping everyone on the same page, and bringing energy and harmony to our practices.
Besides rallies, we take song requests from our students, and practice those songs over the weeks to perform them for our students during the lunch break. They are welcome to join in and sing the songs together!
Our practices usually last 4-6 hours, and we always aim to put on performances that are fun, exciting, and full of school spirit!
At the 2025 back-to-school rally, we played Still into You by Paramore!
At the 2024 Spring rally, we played Everybody Talks by Neon Trees.
I also play bass for the churches worship team !
Chamber Ensemble
I joined Honors Chamber Ensemble, a class dedicated to learning and improving my guitar skills and play in unison, making like-minded friends, and learning how to practice for performances.
This year, a new ensemble line was introduced, a rock band. As the bassist, I became a core part in forming this group by gathering guitarists and a drummer to form our Chamber Ensemble band.
The band preformed “Don`t Stop Me Now” by Queen, and “From The Start” by The Good Kid.
In this band, we collectively decided and chose fun, exciting rock songs that would make the performance more uplifting, in addition to musicians playing classical pieces.
For the Winter Concert, I also played a jazz piece with drums, piano, and trumpet. Together we played “Like The Movies” by Laufey.
